The Crates from Wewak are Here!!

We last saw all our belongings when we packed them into two crates in Wewak on Oct 17th! After we flew back to Goroka in one day, the crates went by boat for a few days and then sat in Lae waiting for the shipping company to deliver them to the Trucking company. And then waited for the trucking company's load to be full enough to make a trip to Goroka. They arrived on Dec 11th!!! Merry Christmas to us!

Naomi helped me bring out all our empty totes so we could be organized for unloading all the loose things in the crates...

We had a tote for bathroom items, one for the bedding/curtains, another for the sports toys, two for Kitchen, two for the toys, etc.

I was so thankful for God's perfect timing. We went from a full guesthouse to just a few people... and then the crates arrived! So we were able to ask Fiona and Georgie to help us unload the crates!!

We had one mishap in the first crate, a large bottle of hand soap spilled out everywhere!!

Washing the soap out was another issue. but we were thankful that Jacob's four wheeler oil didn't spill out everywhere!

Crate number two!

The empty crates went into the garage for storage.

The only mishap in the second crate... the termites ate the bottom of Naomi's bed... so Jacob burned them.

Naomi helping put her bed together...

Naomi is so excited to have her bed back!!

The Kids found the craft supplies and wanted to make a craft right away!

And they were very excited to play the piano again. Although I don't know how they got in there!

Our first sign of organization in our home with our own furniture!
