More PNG Story telling!

We have really enjoyed sharing about PNG every Sunday the last 2 months! This last Sunday we got to share in Jacob's parents church. Many of the people have known Jacob since he was very small, so it was neat to be encouraged by these friends in all we are doing. We want to ask for your prayers, as we continue to share about PNG. A few hours after we spoke the Nova Scotian government announced more regulations due to a higher number of Covid cases in the last week. The regulations state that churches can only meet at 25% capacity. Please pray for wisdom for the churches and us as we navigate the new regulations yet still find way so to share about PNG.

Random happenings of life in Nova Scotia

Enjoying delicious burgers and roasted veggies!

Naomi is very excited that Poppie found lactose free, sugar free chocolate ice cream which was delicious!!

Trying out an electric violin! And now he is working on building his own!

Ready to speak at church... yet still playing!

Jonathan made a secret message for me with an language from the book he is reading. Fun!

The beginning of an electric violin!!

Naomi drew this picture of her and I and gave it to me. So beautiful! :)

Always creating something!

Training my new waffle maker! We eat waffles every Sunday night for supper! Yum!

You never know what they will build next!

Naomi's 1st Haircut!

I finally figured it was time to get Naomi's hair cut, after being reassured by Aunt Karla that her curls would not disappear. And I was so thankful that Aunt Karla showed me how to cut it for the future!

I also got 5 inches taken off my hair as well. I hadn't had a hair cut since May 2020.

And I convinced Jacob that he also needed a haircut. And afterwards we went out to lunch to celebrate.

I really enjoyed my scallops and sweet potato fries!

Happy Birthday Nannie!

Naomi and I made a carrot cake for Nannie for her birthday!

It was fun to be here and be able to celebrate with Nannie... and enjoy carrot cake sweetened with coconut sugar, gluten free with cream cheese frosting!!

So cute! Great Nannie and Naomi watching cartoons together!

"Oot n' aboot" (Out and about in Nova Scotian)

Jacob and I enjoyed some yummy food and time away without the kids.

Although not much went according to plan... but we do live in Covid times... Apparently you have to have a Nova Scotia photo ID in order to stay at a certain place... which we didn't have... and apparently everything in Nova Scotia shuts down on Good Friday... Who knew?! But we did have fun on our little misadventure!

We searched for 2 1/2 hours to find a place to eat breakfast that was OPEN! And here it is! Jerry's diner!! Thank you Jerry! We were starving!!

We enjoyed a feast at Mary and George's house - old friends of the family here in Nova Scotia!

I love hanging out with Mary because she is from Boston! And she is a Patriots fan!!

We also enjoyed hanging out with Jacob's cousin and family - Jessica and crew!

Outdoor Fun!

The kids were happy to help Dad and Poppie work on the Greenhouse. It is just about ready for planting all the veggies!

We also have lot of fun places to draw with chalk! It is fun to do things that we used to do in PNG because it reminds the kids of our home and friends in PNG!

The kids love the playground at their school. They want to stay longer every day to play on it!

Happy Easter!

We were happy to be able to spend Easter with Jacob's parents and Grandmother this year!

We enjoyed a delicious Ham and Turkey dinner with All Natural Apple Pie!

And the kids made some rolls with chocolate chips hidden inside. Yum!
