Puzzles and fun @ home!

Jacob LOVES puzzles. Since I got him this card table for Christmas he just does one puzzle right after the other. The table always has a puzzle in progress or just finished! So, if you are wondering what to send Jacob in a package.... a puzzle!!

I usually just help in the end to get it done as fast as possible. I love to try all the same colored pieces in all the spots that are left! :)

The one of the only vegetables we had left during the lock-down came from Nate's garden. Naomi and I loved to pick these tomatoes! We also had pumpkins growing outside the guesthouse that accidentally were planted from someone throwing seeds out the door. :)

He made his own sandwich, meat and cheese, cucumbers, eggs, ketchup and mayo. He ate it all up!

Then he made one for Naomi too! :)

The kids are learning how to clear the table and wash the dishes!! :)

And I learned how to make delicious crackers! :)

They are also learning how to do puzzles.

 Ready to finish it...

Done after a grueling 20 minutes of finding extra pieces that didn't fit anywhere and realizing that perhaps some of the pieces that the kids put in, where not exactly right! :)

Our favorite oat waffles make us....

HAPPY! :)

Happiness is also waking up in the morning on Saturday and getting cozy while reading a book!

Fun with "Uncle" Nate!

Reading Elephant and Piggie books, so funny!

Learning how to weed a garden.

A double cherry tomato we found in Nate's garden.

Playing Superheros with Nate's dog, Alan. :)

Heading Out to Play...

The kids love our little sandbox we have on our porch. :) Needless to say that day they had a bath/shower before dinner. :)

We were thankful when the gym opened up so the kids could ride...

and roller blade! :)

Guesthouse Fun!

The guesthouse hasn't been very busy lately due to lack of travel for COVID-19. But we have kept busy with having co-workers over for meals and fun.

When our workers finally came back to work, there was a lot of weeding to do!
Kiso keeps the guesthouse looking nice with his extensive knowledge of plants and flowers.

Chicken Pot Pie with Greens (Kumu) in coconut milk, yum!

We were quite excited when lock-down ended and we could have a market again outside our gate! Fresh veggies!!!

 Fun with "Uncle"Nate!

A sample of Kiso's gardening ability.

Happy Mother's Day! written by Jacob

Because we have a great gardener at the guesthouse, we have lots of neat flowers to give Beth on Mothers Day. (written by Jacob)

The kids and I attempted to make a nice vase with flowers for mom out of tomato sauce jars... The kids had a great time at least.

We sure appreciate our Mother!

Campfire Fun!

Here is the view from our front yard as we sat around the campfire.

Enjoying time together at the campfire... also notice my hair cut.

Jacob cut off 7 inches that day!

 The HUGE fire!

Playing lightsabers around the fire... noticed they both have belts to put their light sabers in. :)

Reading and Learning continues!

Jonathan did a report on Canada and South Africa this year during school for Social Studies.

Jonathan also became an excited reader during the last term of 1st grade. Sometimes, it is hard to get him to put a book down now! :)

The kids got the guesthouse ready for a "Silent Reading Party". Many people were going to come to read together. So they started off the party. :)

Jonathan's school work after learning about how God is his shepherd. :)
