Hanging out in Nova Scotia

Our new little family

It is wonderful to be with family here in Nova Scotia for a few weeks! Jacob, Jonathan and I with Jacob's parents, Stanley and Cheryl, and Jacob's Nannie (Grandma) Jane.

Play time!

Jonathan was sound asleep when we bundled him up to go to church... his Great Nannie (Grandma) Jane made this sweater and touque for him.

Playing with the hammer that Grandma gave him!

Jonathan loves to put things in his mouth!

Great Uncle Gregory and Aunt Marianne came for a visit!

 Story time with Grandpa!

Jonathan's Great Uncle Gregory brought a few lobsters! So today, Jonathan met his first lobster... he isn't quite sure what to think about it. :)

Heading to Nova Scotia...

Jacob's parents drove down for a visit before we left Massachusetts and left us their truck...

We packed it to the max because we had to pack up our apartment and store a lot of things in Nova Scotia.

There was just enough room for Jonathan to have his own little space. :)

The Devine Grandparents finally get to see their first grandchild...

Cheryl (Jonathan's grandma) was so excited to finally be able to hold him!

Grandma and Grandpa finally get to lay their eyes on their grandchild!

Jacob's parents came down to visit... and so we enlisted their help in dropping off our rental car... it was a good car for us over the last 8 months! We were so thankful for it!

Jacob's parents picked us up in PA at Christian Missionary Technical Services where we dropped off the car. And on the way back up to MA we stopped in to show Jacob's parents the culinary school that I attended, The Culinary Institute of America. Great fun!

 Getting ready for dinner service.

Taking a little tour around the school with Cheryl and little Jonathan.

 Admiring the old Hobart mixer!

The Hyde Park, NY Campus of the CIA.

Back in MA... we stopped in for a quick tour of Lakeside Christian Camp, where I grew up... Jonathan is hiding in the Maya wrap.

We enjoyed a little walk around Lakeside, lots of fun memories!

Our last days in Massachusetts with my parents...

Grandma and little Jonathan... it was hard to leave home this time knowing we will be gone for 2 1/2 to 3 years. Jonathan will be so big the next time Grandma has a picture taken with him!

Jonathan is enjoying a toy that Grandma and Grandpa bought for him. :)

Grandpa (Dennis) with his namesake, Jonathan Dennis.

Jonathan getting ready to move to Papua New Guinea and live by the ocean! He says that he has a hat and sunglasses, now he just needs a cool pair of swim trunks. :)

Dedication of Jonathan's life to the Lord...

We had the opportunity to dedicate Jonathan's life to the Lord the Sunday before we left Massachusetts.

Celebrating Sarah's birthday!

This year I got to be home to celebrate my sister, Sarah's, birthday! Good times!

Aunt Trudi and Uncle Allen came to the party too! Aunt Trudi is excited to unwrap the macaroons that a friend of my mom's made for the party.
