Library and Puzzles!

Naomi loves going to get new books at the library. She also loves to do the puzzles in the library!

She finished it all by herself!

This is a puzzle that we gave to Jacob for his birthday. Just finished!

Water Tank Construction

The old water tank had too many leaks... so it was torn down.

Looking through our 2nd story window at the water tank project.

Naomi did not like all the noise of the machines!

Playing on the stones that were used to support the new foundation for the water tanks since the ground is mostly made of clay.

The cement form took a lot of preparation and had to be exact since there are earthquakes here.

Pouring the cement was a huge process since we had to clean all the stones ourselves.

We used about 180 bags of cement to pour this cement foundation for the 1st water tank.

The concrete was very hot but we had a good finishing team. :)

"Look at Me Mom!"

A great find in the mission barrel, where people give away their things and everyone else can come and take what they need. Now he is ready for the freezing cold weather in Canada, inside the houses. :)

Spider girl!! :)

WHO IS THAT?!

Naomi hiding in the box, her house. :)

Guesthouse and Food!

Fresh whole wheat and gluten free bread! Yum!

Kumu anyone? Cooked in coconut milk.

Nate found some dried Kiwi for us in town, so good! Fresh kiwi is not something we can find here. And so we are always quite excited when town has dried kiwi!

Blueberry Mug Cake!

Kiso, the guesthouse gardener and driver.

These flowers seeds came from Nate's mom in the US. They have done very well here in PNG!

Fiona helps us out at the guesthouse with cooking and cleaning.

A new stepping stone path to the guesthouse apartment that we renovated.

The flower vines are taking over!

The Superheros have set up their house on the couch. They can sleep or they can play video games. :)

Fiona, Rumbi and Georgie. Naomi loves to watch them work and sometimes help out too!

Whole wheat, white and oat tortillas as well as tortilla chips.

Visiting Uncle Nate

Naomi was sad because she took this new toy of hers all the way down the hill to show Uncle Nate at the store where he works, and he wasn't there.

But then when the kids wanted to show him their new capes, he was at home! :)

Learning how to cut Alan's hair.

Enjoying Crunchy Quinoa Patties with Avocado Smash for brunch at Nates, yum!!

Heading back home... the capes are the most fun when they blow in the wind while running. :)
