Cabinets, Ladders and Four Wheeler Rides

Jacob rebuilt this kitchen for the ladies that work for NTM here in Wewak. They cook and eat their lunches here during lunch break and are able to have a bit of a rest.

Dad is heading home from work and the kids wanted to ride along! They are always so excited to ride on the four wheeler. Jonathan had his bike but figured out a way to get it on the four wheeler so he could ride too.

The beginnings of a ladder being built for a storage area. This is Jacob's workshop.

Ladder is finished and installed so that people can get up and down into the storage area over the guest houses. This is where a lot of missionaries store their things when they go on home assignment.

Naomi's Big Girl Bed!

Naomi was so excited to have her own big girl bed! Jacob actually made this as a crib for our co-workers at Interface. They gave it to us when they were done. But it was damaged in the move from Interface to Wewak. So Jacob made it into a toddler bed for Jonathan. And now Naomi gets to use it!!

Hanging out with Miss Hope...

Naomi loves to go visit Miss Hope in the Business office, where I used to work. But today we visited her at home on her porch. And here she is showing Naomi the cats just inside her house climbing around. :)

Mommy and Me & Brother and Sister Time

I love that we get to wear the same meri (women) blouses as the ladies to here in PNG!

Shopping at the local grocery store. They love the cars!

But sometimes they choose the carts instead. And then we don't need to push a cart at all! :)

Brother and Sister superheros, together!

Jonathan LOVES Friends from the Bush!

Jonathan loves to play Wii with his friends when they come out of the bush for breaks! Max and Uriah are a year and two older than Jonathan but they love to play together!! Their families work in the Kaje village doing literacy and church planting.

Jonathan was very sad to see them go! But he looks forward to the next time they come out of the bush with their families!

Drawing with chalk is one of our favorite activities around here because there is lots of cement!

The all time favorite is tracing your body and than turning it into a superhero! :)

Back to work and play in PNG..

Jacob is back at work rebuilding cabinets, which he loves to do!

And Jonathan and Naomi are feeling better, playing better together than ever before. :)

And  Jonathan is back on his bike!

Jonathan has enjoyed playing with Max, his new Superhero friend, Black Panther. :) His family works in a tribal location called Kaje.

Heading back home to PNG!

Waiting in the Brisbane airport for our flight to PNG, getting a few fun pictures of my new reading glasses and haircut. :) I guess I am officially old if I have to have to buy my first pair of reading glasses....

The muscles of Batman are growing!

Ready for flying? It was a tough flight because Jacob felt very sick and went to sleep in the of the plane across some empty seats and Naomi was not happy most of the flight!

But we made it to our hotel in Port Morseby and we were able to rest before flying to Wewak.

Our hotel room at the Holiday Inn.

 The kids loved the pool!

Frogman, maybe the next Superhero? :)

The day we flew from POM to Wewak was another rough day with a stomach bug continuing, now making us all sick... Jonathan is now an expert at using the air sickness bag... and we are thankful that the airport had a fast clean up crew... poor guy.

This picture pretty much tells the story of our flight... and we came home and collapsed on the couch, watching tv and sleeping! Thankfully Jacob felt much better the second day of travel!!

Hanging out at the Ronad McDonald House...

Jonathan joined in the fun of painting
Ronald McDonald boots to sell to make money for the charity of the RMH.

Fun on the playground!

Emily and her daughter Louise, also missionaries in our area of PNG, were in Brisbane for medical too. So they stopped in to visit us. :)
