Father and son time!

Bath time with Dad!

Snack time with Dad!

Jonathan loves to try on Dad's shoes. :)

A new box in the house... means a new car for Dad to push Jonathan around in. :)

Fun in the bucket being pushed around by dad. :)

Old bed to New bed!

Jonathan has just about grown out of his pack n play....

Jacob made a toddler bed for Jonathan.... Jacob was so excited to put it together that he hadn't finished installing the mattress yet.... :)

Jonathan seems to like it so far!

The final steps of building.... Jonathan always likes to help Dad!

He's not quite sure what to think a about this railing yet....

And it is finished! Jacob started building a crib about three years ago for our Interface co-workers new baby. When their baby was finished with the crib, we planned to use it for our little guy. But when we got back to PNG, after a rough move from Interface, the crib wasn't in too great a shape. So we never did use it for Jonathan as a crib, but now Jacob has turned it into a toddler bed and it is beautiful!!

Jonathan has slept in his new bed for 3 nights now and all is going well! :) He loves the freedom of getting out of bed when he wants. But he is also good at listening to mum and dad and getting back in bed. :)

Introducing Marshall Douglas Devine!

Jonathan now has cousin on the Devine side of the family! Jacob's brother and sister-in-law just had their first baby boy!

I miss Grandma!

My Grandma, Louise, passed away today.... here she is in August with her three children, David, Trudi and Corrine (my mom!). We miss her!

We enjoyed spending time with Grandma when we were home in 2013. And Grandma enjoyed Jonathan! This is bath time! :)

Bananas anyone?

This is our front porch... notice the HUGE stalk of bananas on the left! One of our yard workers found this banana stalk on one of the banana trees here on NTM's property so he hung them here for us to eat.

Jonathan loves bananas! He has eaten three in one sitting before! We manged to eat them all, although some we made into banana muffins and banana peanut butter smoothies! :)

Helping Dad at work!

Jacob helped put a new floor in this missionary house and refinished the floor... now you can't tell that it is made out of plywood! Jonathan loves to sweep, so he is helping Jacob clean up a bit. :)

 Doing some final touches.

Jonathan and the Kool-Aid man...

When I cooked for the Interface students at Interface I always had Kool-aid on hand for them to drink. And we used a lot! So I saved the points on each package so that we could buy things with them. And so we had a Kool-aid man mascot in the Interface Kitchen. :)

And now he lives on, in the Devine household, Jonathan is enjoying him! :)

One lonely tomato!

We can't find any decent size or any good tasting tomatoes here in Wewak... so sometimes when friends come back from Goroka, they bring us gifts of tomatoes! We enjoyed toasted tomato and cheese sandwiches!

Beach!

We went to Wom beach for the first time with a bunch of other missionaries. It was a lot of fun. But at first Jonathan wasn't too sure what he thought about it.

But once he realized how much fun it was to play in the sand, he decided the ocean must be fun too!

Building sand castles with Dad!

And a friend found a star fish for Jonathan to take a look at....

Jonathan turns 17 months old!

Jonathan is imitating his dad, by putting up his index finer and making a hissing noise, this is one thing that his dad does to train dogs. :)

Helping mom roll out pizza dough for supper. :)
