Telling Everyone about Papua New Guinea!

Over the last couple months we have been busy telling many friends, family and supporters about Papua New Guinea! We get to wear a little bit of PNG dress and share at churches every Sunday! It has been very encouraging to see so many people who are excited about all that God is doing in PNG and about our ministry at the guesthouse!

Jonathan and Naomi are also having a lot of fun with it too! I interview them and they tell the church a little bit of daily life in PNG.

We have had to travel 2.5 hours to share at two of our supporter churches. But it always fun to get out and enjoy the smooth roads and see new sights of Nova Scotia!

Sometimes we even find new treats that we can eat... like lactose free, sugar free ice cream!

Jonathan decide he would be able to eat an entire foot long sub as the 6" were just not enough for him. He was excited to try it! But he wasn't quite able to eat it all. And he wasn't so excited about getting subway after that. 😀

Bikes! And the 10K!

We are all excited to ride bikes! Well, it seems it has been a long time since I have gotten on a bike outside. I ride stationary bikes for exercise all the time! Since there are not many places to ride bike in PNG I have never owned a bike there. And the last two times we have been home, I have been pregnant or taking care of a newborn. SOOO this was my first time riding a bike in 14 years!! WOW! It felt good to ride again!

Naomi was also excited to have her first big girls bike with training wheels!

And Jonathan was very excited to have his first gear bike!

Naomi was also excited to have her first big girls bike with training wheels!

Thank you Nannie Joyce for blessing the kids with bikes!!

It was a cold day!! But we walked and jogged in the 10K that our church did in order to raise money for their 2 missionary families (including us)! It was fun to be a part of it all! And we are so thankful for all the funds that the church raised for our tickets back to PNG!!

Family and Fun with Kayaks!

I never know what the kids are going to be doing when they say "Look, Mom!" 😀

We are enjoying the beauty of God's creation just outside our door. We are thankful for the peace and quiet we get to enjoy here!

We never know what the lake will look like each day... Jonathan looked outside when he woke up one morning and said, "Mom, we are floating!" 😀

But the kids were SOOOO excited when it was warm enough to get the Kojak and Paddle boat out! Unfortunately winter returned again so we haven't been out too much yet. But I do believe it gets warm enough for spring way up here in Nova Scotia! There are buds on the trees!

Jacob finally got new glasses!!

What we do when the lights go out... life without a back up generator. We are used to having a back up generator in Papua New Guinea because the power is very unreliable. Here in North America it takes a lot for the power to go out... but then they fix it in a few hours! So thankful!

Enjoying some "reading" and relaxing time!

But Jonathan is actually reading and he is a FAST reader! And he LOVES it!

We have enjoyed getting together with family!

Happy Birthday Dad and Poppie!

Jonathan loves his new hat... just like Grandpa!

We celebrated Poppie's birthday together with a little bit of ice cream...

And some Pizza... we enjoyed a Cauliflower crust... restaurants have everything these days!😋

Always a reason to celebrate by dressing up in Tinker Bell's costume... with batman and hulk added in... and don't forget about the Dr. Seuss sneakers. 😁

Daily happenings in March

They LOVE to paint!

And do puzzles!!

Jonathan got his first tie and Jacob taught him how to tie it... he caught on very quickly!

I also got some new clothes for Naomi.... they are both growing so fast and so big!!

We really enjoy the sunrises and sunsets here!
