Christmas Decorating...

Our Christmas Decorating Party!

Chris, Me, Mike, Elissa and Rich after a fun evening of discovering all kinds of fun things to decorate with. I haven't been in PNG for two years for Christmas. So it was fun to remember all the cute things that I had! And the stories behind them all!

Team Translation Workshop...

We just finished hosting a 2 week Team Translation Workshop where missionary teams came with their Translation Helpers to learn more techniques on Bible Translation. It is a privilege to be a part of this workshop that speeds up the Bible Translation Process. Although it was a lot of work cooking for the equivalent of 90 people. The National Translation Helpers eat A LOT of food. So when I figure out the portions I counted them as two people each. It was amazing to see how much they ate. I heard in the end that one guy gained 20 lbs in 2 weeks!! Now I am excited that the longs days are over and I am headed off to the ocean for a break! More pictures to come in a couple weeks!

Road Trip to Lae...

Here is the one road to Lae, a port town about a 5 hour drive away. We headed there to search for a commercial mixer as well as other food items and Workshop items.
We weren't sure if everything would fit but look, it did: 4 Land Cruiser tires, 3 floors for a shower, 42 Gallons of oil for sealing wooden siding, 80 light fixtures, 58 boxes of lasagna noodles, 7 cases of juice boxes, 2400 Napkins, 8 kg of crocodile meat and I could go on. :)
And there is even a place for us to sit. :)
