Jacob enjoys helping out the Biem team by going to the Wewak Yacht Club to help launch the boat.
Jonathan got to watch this time!
Can you find Jonathan? :)
Soon all three families on the Biem team will return for a big final gathering as they move off the island. The believers are doing well and God is using them to continue on with the church and more outreaches!
We are not sure why they have a large fish at the Yacht club!
Please pray for the Buser, Depner and Chen families as they make a huge transition in leaving their work there! Pray especially for Gail Chen as she battles cancer!

Jacob and Jonathan fixed up this old bike for Jonathan with new tires, brakes seat, handle bars, etc... it is ready to ride, but Jonathan can't quite reach the ground when on the seat... so he'll need to wait a few months before he can ride it himself. But he does quite well with Jacob right behind him. He still rides his old bike without pedals to learn how to balance before graduating to this bike. :)

Happy Birthday to Naomi! She is crawling every where now... and she loves to pull herself up to stand... and is even taking a few steps!
Love this photo! Jonathan and Naomi are now sharing a room and we think they like it. :) I'm sure they will enjoy it even more when Naomi can talk. :)
Naomi is weighing in at 6.4 kgs, or 14 lbs now! This is the scale that the supply buyers use to weigh all the food and other supplies that they send into the bush to the missionaries via plane.

This cupboard was rotten from moisture but also eaten by termites!
Here is the termite damage! This used to be a solid piece of 3/4" plywood.
And the beautiful final product... a new and improved cupboard. :)
When Jacob is walking around the center fixing things, he also enjoys the beauty of God's creation... here are some pineapples growing on our center. In the background you can see the fence of the rest of our center.
Fixing washing machines! Jacob does this a lot! One day he was fixing one machine and when he came back from lunch it multiplied... there were now two machines to fix!
This door has seen better days!
The new and improved door!

The excitement of eating papaya for snack. :)
"Look at me, mom, I can stand! :)"
"And I can push this huge box of legos. :)"
Jonathan is enjoying the whole wheat goldfish that he got in a package recently from our Australian friend, Audrie! Thank you!
Listening to a recorded book from Grandma. :) Fun!
Fun on the porch!
Standing and stepping along the railing. :)

Naomi has a friend who is just 2 days younger than her. Her parents work with MAF. They like to hang out on the blanket together and steal each others toys. :)
On our way to church. :)
Jonathan is having fun with our new neighbors... remote control cars are a big hit!
Naomi hanging out with our new neighbor, Ruby, who is almost 2 years old. :)

Tula was misbehaving... Jacob needed some old socks and a cut proof glove and a prang collar. He got bit 5 times but was able to calm her down over time with words and posture. Eventually her aggression stopped, but she is still a work in progress.
Tula, Bear and Thor eating lunch calmly like well behaved dogs.
Calm and relaxed like good dogs should be.
Training in process. Jonathan enjoyed helping.
Jonathan says 'mush' and 'whoa' to the dogs. :)
Learning how to work together and staying calm during stressful situations.
Tired out after a hard day of work!

We were happy to find avocados! Yum! But she also was selling grubs on a stick... in the white bag. Not one of our favorites.
And we love soursop, the green prickly fruit next to the pineapple. It tastes sweet and sour although the texture is slimy and Jacob says it is like chewing on a sweater. :)

Happy Canada Day!
The Canadians singing the Canadian National Anthem. :)
And the Americans... Happy Independence Day to America!
I cut open this papaya on Independence day, very cool!
Jonathan is learning how to spell and playing superheros on July 4th made him into Captain America!
And he and I put all our block letters in order! :)
