Trip to MO to visit Miss Hope!

we
We worked with Miss Hope or "Grandma Hope" in Wewak for many years. It was so good to hang out with her for a few days in MO!

We wondering who will be taller when we come back for our next visit in about 4 years?!

Grandma Hope was the 1st person that Naomi went to when she was a baby without crying!

The kids loved hanging out with Miss Hope and reading books!

She took us to a children's science museum and the kids LOVED it!

Jacob enjoyed it too! Fixing up a guy who had fallen from a roof!

Playing tug of war where one side is 6 times easier than the other side!

Whoa! Now that is a HUGE bubble!

Just the right size house for Naomi!

Arriving in MA!

We enjoyed playing a little Uno while we waited for Jacob to pick up our rental car.

Oooo.... a tunnel! The kids love them!

And I LOVED being able to go into a restaurant in MA and NOT wearing a mask. Restrictions in the US lifting before Canada's restrictions.

We were all happy to see Grandma and Grandpa!

We are thankful for a car to use for the rest of the year! Thank you Michael and Virginia!

And the kids were very very excited to experience their very first car wash!

We really enjoy watching their reactions to all the new things they experience, everywhere we go!

So excited to see many choices of Larabars in bulk... inexpensive! Yum!

Heading out... off to MA!

This pretty much tells you what our life looks like when we are moving and packing. And Naomi's face pretty much sums up how we feel about this process. 😂

But we did it! We packed up everything, just in the nick of time!

Everything was given away, packed in our suitcases or packed into storage for our return in 4 years. Crazy!

We really enjoyed our time in Nova Scotia and all that God taught us here! We are hoping that Nannie and Poppie can come visit us in MA sometime!

Meal with some friends and supporters the night before we flew out! Good times!

And we are ready for our flights!

Playing Tourist

We enjoyed being able to tour around in the small towns close to where we lived in Nova Scotia.

A memorial for those who have died at sea.

On March 22, 1989, Jacob's dad didn't make it to this boat before it took off for a fishing expedition. There was a big storm that killed all aboard. We are very thankful that God spared Stanley's life.

It is fun to find hidden painted rocks and let everyone know that it was found... then re-hide it!

Exploring the lighthouse with Nannie and Poppie, fun times with family!

Jacob's dad, an experienced captain, explains what happened in this historical event.

Trying to feed the ducks but they were full so the seagulls got the food instead.
