Town Trip with Guesthouse Team

We went to the town market to find new meri blouses (shirts/tops that the ladies wear). Naomi and I needed a few more.

We also got to see the new produce market... very nice compared to the old one!

We enjoyed being able to take our guesthouse team out for lunch and do a little swimming.

While Dad was away... Cleaning, String play, and Book packages

Jacob stayed another week in the capital city to help finish off the office and a few other small project. While he was gone we got a box of books in the mail!

We also had fun with string games!

And we cleaned our windows... with the Norwex window cloth of course!

And just before dad got home, we made him his favorite, Nova Scotian Baked Beans.

Thankfulness at the Guesthouse

We are very thankful that we get to be here in PNG and serve at the guesthouse. We enjoy getting to encourage people as they come through, and also be encouraged by so many!

The solar charged golf cart is up and running again after the brakes were fixed.

We have a Wall of Praise at our guesthouse and it is quite encouraging to read what our guests have written.

New meri blouses... shopping in the guesthouse!

And when we have no guests for a few hours... look what the kids enjoy doing... Forts in the guesthouse!!

My Grandma is now with Jesus

My Grandma, Marcella Weaver, passed away on July 22, 2024 at the age of 98. I'm very thankful to have known her and enjoyed lots of memories together. She has taught me a lot, as she has been a fine example of a women dedicated to Jesus.

Heading out to a fish fry with my grandma, cousin Jennie and Aunt Marilyn.

Many years ago with my grandma and grandpa, and my sisters Sarah and Ruth.

And even more years ago when I was a baby hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa.

I loved visiting Grandma for Labor Day weekend and watching the Labor Day parade together!

This was a typical picture of my grandma working away in her kitchen! She made delicious food!

Hard at Work at the POM Centre

The ceiling in the office was falling down because the termites had eaten it in many places. All that was left in those areas was paint!

The lights and fans and pieces of ceiling had to be removed first.

Then Jacob used some roofing tin that was sitting outside for a few years. And he made it into a termite proof ceiling. No critters will be eating away at that ceiling! 😊

Jacob also removed a wall and did a lot of clean up and retiling work.

Finished and ready to move back in!
