Before the generator arrived the guys were busy getting ready to dig all the ditches for all the wires and pipes, etc. First they had to cut some sidewalks. Jacob was happy to have his four-wheeler here so he could use the wench to haul the side walk pieces away. By the way, this is Nate, one of the interns that is helping out for a few months.
Jacob and Kelly removing the clothes line so that the work can begin.
Mike and Brian from Friends in Action came to help switch out the generators.
The Old Generator.
Out with the Old...
And in with the new...
Everyone was gathered to watch the huge event!
The new generator is in place, the roof is back on the generator shed and now the digging begins...
This is what the center looked like before the digging began.
After the digging began, it looked like a HUGE mole came in and invaded!
And then they had to fill in all the ditches again!
Nate, Willi and Troy - three of the hard workers
The guys were filling in the ditches as they watched a storm come across the ocean.
The PNG Power company sent an electrician out to help hook up the wiring to town power.
The ITEC team that came from the US to install the Generator along with the PNG Power Electricians. We are so thankful for everyone's work!
