We were quite excited when a friend was going to the Highlands and offered to bring back some veggies from the local market. We can't find tomatoes, lettuce, green beans, zucchini or green peppers here in our market. And sometimes we can find carrots, but they aren't cheap and they don't look as nice as these carrots! We are so thankful for God's continued provision for vegetables!

Play dough and Smoothies!
I made some play dough for Jonathan which he loves!
I help him make roads to drive his cars down... and build houses that he smashes. :)
Jacob and Jonathan sometimes enjoy banana peanut butter smoothies together before bed.
Jonathan loves them!

Celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving!
Celebrating Thanksgiving with Mike and Ruth, missionaries with Friends in Action, and long time friends of Beth. We played crokinole... it was fun even though the boys creamed the girls!
Making my traditional all-natural apple pie. This means there is no sugar, just sweetened with apple juice concentrate. And this year I made the crust out of almond flour and whole wheat flour, Yum!
The only trouble with the crust was that it was very hard to roll and move... so I used a cookie cutter instead. Loved it!
Jonathan loves his air plane puzzle that Grandma and Grandpa sent!

More of Jonathan's random daily acitivies...
"HOCKEY!"
"CAR!" Now Jonathan likes to "park" the car right next to the other cars. :)
"Why is there a chain attached to the wall... wondering if I can pull it off??"
Relaxing on a Saturday morning watching Dad paint the washing machine after he de-rusted it! Jonathan says "See, See". :)
"NICE" says Jonathan

Celebrating my 40th Birthday!
Jonathan decided that we would both wear hats. :)
Then we both had to wear different hats when we headed out for our big shopping trip. :)
The road we travel on to get to town has a beautiful view!

We went to a restaurant on the beach for supper to celebrate my birthday. Jacob and Jonathan loved the ocean1
Jonathan loved eating pureed pumpkin that we brought with us, while we waited for our food to come. :)

Jonathan wanted to go see what Dad was doing outside of our house... He found a big top!
The water tank for the building that we live in,had a hole in it. We use it to catch all the rain water. We do get water provided from town but sometimes the town water stops working, so the rain water is a wonderful back up. And it tastes a lot better then town water!
Jacob and Bill found out that the pump was broken too, so Jacob replaced it.
And Jonathan wanted to help. :)
In order to lift up the water tank, Jacob hooked his four wheeler wench up to it. It was easy! Jacob says, "It's good thing I have my four-wheeler, it is so handy!"

Jacob and his dogs!
Jacob has spent many many months training the dogs on our NTM Centers, he is our local dog trainer. Jacob really enjoys it! He has learned so much over the last few years here in PNG after training dogs at Interface and here in Wewak. And all his work over the last months has paid off! The dogs are doing well and now our security men are learning how to use the dogs at night. Progress!

The New Boat House!
One of the large ongoing projects that Jacob has been helping with lately has been pouring cement and filling gabion baskets for the new boat house. Right now we have three missionary families who work on an island 80 miles away. And we don't have a place to store their boat. But this is about to change! There are also many other tribal groups on islands nearby that want missionaries to come and share 'God's talk'. So please pray for more missionaries to come!
The boat is parked on the grass on the right until the boat house is completed.
