Learning to swim!

 Jonathan's first day of swimming on his own, with his vest. He is quite excited that he could learn how to swim too! :)

Housing projects

 Jacob and Willi replaced all the porch posts which were all rotting so that the porch wouldn't fall down. Things seem to rot or rust fast here with all the rain, humidity and salt in the air.

 The next big project... gutting and rebuilding this missionary home that is falling apart.

This project will take some time and money so they are planning it for next year.

 Our hard working pilot, a Interface alumni, Brent, flying the missionaries and cargo into the tribe. Nathan very excited about getting his things into the tribe.

This picture shows you the task ahead of Jacob... driving the truck through the hanger without hitting any helicopters, planes or trucks on the way out, after delivering the cargo to the plane. It was a bit nerve wracking for him.

Life around the house...

 Naomi wasn't quite sure about this new seat. :)

 But she really likes sitting here to watch the washing machine work as she plays with her toys and I hang out the clothes. :)

 LEGO fun.. someone left us a lot of LEGOs a few years ago when they had to leave PNG... and now that Jonathan is 4 he is excited to play with them! And Jacob is excited too. :)

Mother's Day

Back in Wewak... Work & the Market

 Jonathan loves to help dad and the guys to build anything! Here they are mixing cement to build a retaining wall.

Shopping at our favorite grocery store... they have large aisles.. small carts and even large carts with cars attached for kids to ride in. And sometimes we can even find good stuff there like apples or nuts or gluten free flours!

And sometimes we find very different food items! Whitejelly fungus, no thank you!

Every Saturday we go to the local produce market to buy our usual items... pineapple, papaya, coconut, cucumbers, bananas, sweet potato and sometimes a treat of lettuce, carrots, sour sop or tomatoes. Jonathan is pretty good at helping out!
