Jacob's work projects

The oven in this apartment or flat exploded, at least the glass exploded out the front of it. So we had to put a new oven in and the one we had available was bigger. I'm thankful to have a more normal size oven in this apartment for the families! But it meant that the cupboard had to be removed and replaced. Jacob was happy to do this as he has wanted to try out an idea he has been working on for awhile. A cupboard and counter that is termite proof and mold proof. :)

The counter top is made of metal and painted with a paint sprayer. The wood is all hard wood.

The cupboards sides are also made of metal.

There will be one more drawer to come as well as a cupboard door and a bookshelf to go in on the back right. So far the families that have used it have said it is a good set up.

There is a drawer inside the drawer that you push back to find the things under it. And this drawer actually pushes out the other side so you can easily set the table. :)

As part of our decor renovations to the guesthouse Jacob is inserting shelves in this mantel with fake fireplace. This will be a place where we can hide/store the kids toys.

The kids will have fun going in to find their toys. And also enjoy putting them back in there too. :)
