We love making new friends at the guesthouse. It is fun to get to know people and hear the stories of how God is using them around PNG. A few weeks ago a lady named Jennifer came to our guesthouse from another mission in PNG to learn how to use the ultrasound machine so she can get one for the PNG Hospital where she works. She asked for people to come and help her learn.... practice is fun! We were especially excited because Naomi has been to many many doctors offices in her short lifetime. But has always screamed when I try to put her on the table. Jonathan got to have a fun ultrasound first to see his insides and so Naomi saw how much fun he had and jumped right up on the table herself when it was her turn. This was a HUGE thing for her to do! We are hoping she will remember this next time she is at the doctor's office! We always have fun making friends with our guests in the guesthouse!

Guesthouse, Friends & Moving
Fun with Friends!
We got to help Uncle Nate move into his new house! First we cleaned! Naomi is a good worker!
And she found a fun spot to play when we were unloading the truck!
And more guesthouse friends! The kids love to play with the kids that come to the guesthouse. And they got to celebrate Wesley's birthday too! Jacob helped build this family's house in the tribe, before he fell off the roof and broke his femur. We are all thankful that we can hang out together again and Jacob's leg is healed!!

Homeschool Returns!
Our Christian Academy here on the Centre was supposed to start school on Sept 14th when the teachers had returned and were out of quarantine. BUT the teachers flights were canceled just a week before their flight. They are now rescheduled to arrive at the end of Sept. This is too late for us to squeeze a whole term of school into the months before Christmas. So school is canceled until January! Crazy, Crazy! So instead, we started school on August 24th!!
Naomi is so excited to be "doing school" with Jonathan! She is in preschool. I am having fun teaching her the same letters and sounds lessons that I did for Jonathan when he was 4 years old. Naomi already knows so much!
I am thankful that Jacob is teaching Jonathan Math, Science and Spelling and sometimes carpentry when there are projects around the guesthouse. :)

Creations...
Naomi said that she made a picture of me with big ears and a mustache. :)
I think I like God's creation of MUSHROOMS better!!
Naomi was so excited about all these yummy healthy recipes made with natural sugar and no gluten. Jonathan booked marked A LOT of pages!! So I guess I better get busy!!

Guesthouse Porch Roof Renovation by Jacob...
The guest house porch support posts were badly rotted and not holding very much. After putting in some temporary supports, I started the process of putting in new supports.
I took down all of the wiring and made sure everything was ready.
You can see in this picture how low the roof is. In the end I decided to take the whole roof off and raise it so tall people wouldn't keep hitting their heads.
A bit drastic but sometimes it is easier to tear everything down and rebuild it rather than trying to fix it up. Naomi is running because we were joking about a tornado that just hit the guesthouse porch. :)
Everything is ready to be rebuilt.
