When we got back to PNG, we stayed put in the capital city once again for three weeks to help out our friend, Nate, at the NTM Centre. We were thankful that Jany, who helps out at the centre 2-3 afternoons a week, let us come to their place to use their pool. She does some admin tasks and answers Guesthouse email.
The kids loved it!!
A new board game to play with Nate, thank you "uncle" Nate!
US Independence day BBQ with American, Indonesian and Singaporean and French friends. :)
Happy July 4th with Americans and Canadians!
We had fun matching for our July 4th party.
Relaxing at the pool with a picnic lunch.
It was very windy!
We were so excited to see Janie Miles again! We worked with her 12 years ago and saw her last 10 years ago when we helped out with Interface last time. She is once again in PNG with an Interface team of 32 students. And she was heading out of PNG when we got to have dinner with her!
AND we got to have lunch with the Streeter family who was coming back to PNG after a 1 year home assignment.
They were so excited to see each other, best of friends, but they were separated for 1 year!
We watched a lot of "How to Train Your Dragon" movies this summer. And Jonathan likes to draw, so above is Toothless and Hiccup. :)
Since we eat only wholewheat or gluten free, we don't often find pasta that we can eat. So Naomi's request for a meal this time was spaghetti... and we found brown rice spaghetti! The kids had fun learning how to eat it. :)
