Port Moresby - Friends, Work & Dentist

We are very excited to see our brother and Uncle Nate! Games, Food and good times!

And Jacob was back to work, fixing and repairing things, this time around the Port Moresby (POM) PNG NTM Centre. He just hung up the sign on the gate.

Working at replacing a shower in Nate's co-workers house.

Waiting in the dentist office for Jonathan's appointment. Wow! What a view! Jonathan will be getting head gear and retainers to bring his jaw forward. He will be wearing these every night after supper for at least 6 hours. We are happy that God has placed this dentist in POM so that Jonathan could get help fixing his jaw for the next 1 -1 1/2 years. And then his jaw will grow evenly together.

Some friends invited us to swim at this pool with them. It is at a hotel they were staying at for a few days.

More play at the NTM Centre while Dad worked.

A fun time getting cooled off from the heat of PNG at a local pool and restaurant.

Naomi was in so long that her hands got very wrinkled.

Our suitcases were stored in the office while we were in POM before heading back home to Goroka.

Jonathan and his Uncle Nate... enjoying lunch out.

Excited to drive around PNG!

Around the world in 2 days!

Heading to the Airport with all our bags in the Church Van. Jonathan isn't quite sure how we are going to get all our bags onto the plane.

Yep! We were definitely Crazy! It was a good thing that God was taking us to PNG!

And we finally arrived into the airport!

After a rush around the airport for Covid testing with 12 bags and carry-ons, we made it onto the Airplane!

The kids were excited about the tablets on the BIG planes so they could watch tv.

Waiting in Doha for our next flight... happy and excited to be going back to PNG!!

Sad to have to say goodbye to our family and friends in America and Canada.

We were thankful for an amazing playground in Doha airport for our 8 hour layover!

And now in Singapore... heading onto our next flight... can you see Naomi pushing the cart?

We can barely spot our Air Niugini plane, the last plane we had to board before arriving in PNG! There were a lot of extra glass and security due to Covid screening, etc.

Last Days in MA

We were so thankful for our apartment in Lenox, MA. God provided it for us and we were able to stay there for 8 months. A few days before we left we moved out and moved in with my parents so we could do the last of the packing and cleaning.

Our packing room did get emptied!! Although some days I was not quite sure how it would happen!

While we stayed with my parents, I went to my old high school track to run. It was COLD! But it was beautiful in the cold mornings. Although this "old" high school was actually brand new. Since I graduated high school they tore down the entire building and built a new one. But the running track is still the same.😊

Fun playing Uno Stacko while mom and dad pack.

Time with Grandma, cuddling in her chair a few more times before we left.

A visit from Aunt Trudi and Uncle Allen too!

A celebration of my sister, Sarah's birthday! Fun with the hats.😁

Happy Birthday Sarah!!

Packing, Basketball and God's Provisions

We were so thankful to have the opportunity for Naomi to have her birthmark removed at Boston Children's Hospital. In Nova Scotia the appointments for dermatology and options for surgery were very limited with the backup from covid in the health care system. But it seemed as though Naomi missed her birthmark. 😊

A friend in our church gave us a lot of essential oils to take with us! Amazing!

Packing! We were given this small suitcase but we weren't sure if we could use it. It was very nice and heavy duty that we were able to pack 50 lbs of books in it! It is the same weight as the other bag next to it!

The excitment of eating Dad's homemade ice cream!

Another gift from a friend in church! We were given so many suitcases from many people in our church. And in the end we were allowed to check 12 suitcases on our flights!

Our church started having more activities a few months before we left. Basketball was one of Jonathan's favorites!

Our packing room was usually a mess! But God enabled us to finish all our work of packing and cleaning and sorting! We are continually amazed by all He did to get us back here to PNG!
