Blog post by Jacob...Fixing the porch and the laundry room

 The Porch on this house was rotting away and becoming unsafe.

 Especially for the person who lives in the bottom apartment and used the space underneath the porch for laundry and storage!

Thanks to the hard work of all the guys, we soon had a new framework in place with pressure treated TERMITE RESISTANT wood!

 Eugene (the one in the foreground) used a battery powered impact driver for the first time to help out with the deck.

It made for an interesting time of learning and training. But in the end the porch looks almost exactly the same as before...just newer and without the holes in the floor. :)

 We have had lots of friends for meals lately... this is Mike and Jen who were visiting for 2 months to see and pray about coming to PNG as missionaries full time with Friends in Action, also in Wewak.

 Hanging out with Linda, our neighbor for the next few months! They play together every day!

 We had a few German families visiting and now we have two German families as co-workers so I got out my European bread recipe. We all enjoyed some really yummy bread!

Celebrating Easter!

 We like to celebrate on Easter with some special food... this year we found grapes in the store! We are so thankful that we have the privilege of celebrating our Savior rising again to save us so we can live with Him!

 And Jonathan loves grapes!

 Coloring eggs for Easter... a bit harder with brown eggs, but still fun!

 Easter Dinner... Ham, Mashed Sweet Potato, Carrots & Green Beans and Apple Crisp, yum!
