Trip to the Cottage before heading out...

 

Jacob had to head to Nova Scotia ahead of us, so he could be in Canada for 6 months to keep his residency. We had an extra week in MA so we headed to CT to my cousins cottage for the day.

 

It was a lovely time for the kids to play and us to visit with my parents, my cousin and family and her friends. Jonathan and Naomi enjoyed the paddle board, swimming and paddle boat!

 

Goodbye for now... we are thankful to at least be in the same time zone for a few weeks!

 

And we are off to meet Jacob at Niagara Falls!

Celebrating 250th Birthday of America

 

We enjoyed being in my home town in MA to watch the July 4th parade. Great celebrations!

Grandma and Grandpa were excited to have us back for a visit!

We were so thankful for the house we got to stay in, a dorm for the Bible college at our church. And Jacob was happy to help by fixing things up a bit. 

 

We got to celebrate my mom's birthday a bit late... but thankful we could celebrate with her!

 

We took many trips to the beautiful lake, a few minutes away from my parents house.

Grandma wanted to see if she could still throw a basket ball into the hoop at 80 years old. :)

 

It didn't quite make it up that far, but good try mom!

 

Our extended family, on my dad's side, came to visit!

Saying goodbye to Zander for now... he is off to Washington.

 

We celebrated my mom's birthday again when her friend Jean came for a visit. Lunch out with strawberry shortcake!

Visit to Shaker Village with Zander

 

Zander, my nephew, was visiting my parents for a couple weeks while we were there. So we enjoyed going to see the Shaker village with him.... a different view then he is used to in Nevada. 

 

Wow, it was a lot of work to live life in the olden days when you had to make your own cloth before factories started doing it!
