And back up to Ontario... Ethnos Canada

 

After our adventure at the World Tang Soo Do Championship we started out for Ontario.

 

 

We stopped half way for a rest and hang out time with our good friend, Nate.

 

It was a beautiful spot for a rest and relaxation time with friends!

 

Then we were on to Ethnos Canada to visit Elissa who we used to work with at Interface. It was great to see her again!

 

We have a guesthouse on this pond at Ethnos Canada, and the kids love to swim, kajak and canoe and hunt for turtles... and fish! Many new skills are being learned! Beautiful place to rest!

And we are neighbors with our friend, Janet, who works here at Ethnos Canada.

Back to the US for the World Tang Soo Do Championship

 

After we saw the sights in Niagra Falls, ON, we headed back to the US again to go to the World Tang Soo Do Championship in Chicago. Jonathan and Jacob were both participating. It was quite an experience for us all!

 

But first a 1 hour wait in line to go across the border!

Jonathan won 3rd place in his form with the 12-13 year old boys group, brown belts! Quite the accomplishment!

 

It was fun to see Tabby, PNG our country instructor there! But we were sad that no PNG citizens could make it this time, due to the change in visa laws.

 

We even got to visit my cousins and families as well as my Uncle and Aunt. Jonathan and Sam were excited to meet and play together! Nate, our good friend, from PNG was also there to cheer Jonathan and Jacob on... unfortunately due to the craziness of the competition and culture shock kicking in, we didn't get a picture!

 

Jonathan had a great jump in his form!

Stop in to see Niagara Falls

 

Jonathan and Naomi were amazed at vastness of the falls. So HUGE and such an amazing creation of our God.

 

We met Jacob here in Niagara Falls, ON, to see the sights before we traveled on to Chicago.

 

We got a tour of the Powerplant museum and got to go in the tunnel as well.

 

It was only 60 degrees F in the tunnel, but 90 degrees F outside.

 

The tunnel, now for tourists only, used to be the outlet of the water that went through the powerplant to make the electricity. What a view!
