Visit to Shaker Village with Zander

 

Zander, my nephew, was visiting my parents for a couple weeks while we were there. So we enjoyed going to see the Shaker village with him.... a different view then he is used to in Nevada. 

 

Wow, it was a lot of work to live life in the olden days when you had to make your own cloth before factories started doing it!

And we made it to Boston where Jacob's parents met us!

Miriam is currently living nearby too so she met us in Boston! Miriam and I were interns together in PNG many years ago and we worked at Interface together for years later.

 

We had lunch with Jacob's parents and Miriam before we headed to the Sculpture park with Miriam. Jacob's parents dropped off a car for us to use for our Home Assignment and flew back to Nova Scotia. We are so thankful!

 

 We took a tour of a sculpture park with Miriam near Boston.

 

This house sculpture was crooked. We tried our best to pull it upright but it would budge.

Jonny and Deborah... Jonny was in PNG for a year at Interface many years ago and returned 2 years ago for a couple months! He was a huge help once again!

It was so neat to see everyone, these guys came to PNG in 2008, 2011, 2012, Mike, Diemo, Jonny and Jonas. It was a fun reunion!
