December in PNG

Crazy Christmas Dress Up Day at School

Playing in the rain!

Dinner with Jonny from Germany. He served with Jacob and I at Interface 12 years ago. And now he has returned to help for 2 months, building the foundation for the new hangar for our airplanes and helicopters. It was so good to have him back!

Waiting at the airport for our flight to the capital city - Christmas Break!

Sad news, flight canceled... we had to wait until the next day to fly...

So we went home and enjoyed finishing our Christmas puzzle!!

Early Christmas in the Mountains

We planned to go to visit our good friend, Nate, in the capital city for Christmas this year. So we had an early Christmas at home first... and we decorated for Christmas really early this year. :)

Ready to do some Christmas shopping at our Christmas Pop Up Shops

I enjoyed selling Norwex products at the Pop Up Shops!

We had our Guesthouse employees and their families over for dinner to say thank you for their work.

Kuman Bible Dedication

Jacob and I had the privilege of attending the Kuman Bible Dedication, a bit higher up in the mountains.

Unloading the Bibles from the truck.

There are also parallel Bibles available with English/Kuman or Pidgin English/Kuman, plus Bible comics.

The Grandstand for speeches, presentations and the Bible dedication.

This was also when they dedicated the first comic representation of the Bible in Kuman language. Having pictures to go along with the Bible is proving to really help people's understanding.

We were in awe of how God works. Beth had the opportunity to go to Kuman with Interface students in 1996 to a different location when different missionaries were serving here. There was only a small church and very little of the Bible translated into Kuman. Now we got to be there to see it completed! And the church is growing!

What's a celebration without food!

Skate Night and Campfire

Christmas Skate Night on our centre is always a fun night! Rip sticking or roller blading, which is best?

Hanging out at campfire afterwards with her friends and neighbors, Grace and Hannah.
