Gingerbread House Fun

 

Our annual Gingerbread house decorating party... 2nd year in a row! Nate came to visit for Christmas from Port Moresby! I made GF ginger bread sweetened with coconut sugar. And also a delicious frosting made out of sweet potato, avocado, cocoa power and dates. So yummy!

Jacob's latest projects

 

Jacob is busy every day around the guesthouse, fixing things, and making things better. But he also works around the centre helping people out by renovating or fixing things too. Here is he happy to help out by doing a renovation of a kitchen for Jonathan's teacher!

We have a large water system here that takes water for an underground river and pumps it up to our centre. But the pressure tank is getting old... Jacob had to enter this pressure tank in order to remove rust and repaint it.

School Christmas Fun with Friends

 

Naomi enjoys playing with Tera her classmate and her sister Dawna. They also had to go home to America too. Because they are going to have a new baby sister soon! Naomi is excited to have Tera back with a new baby sister when they start 1st grade together!

Guesthouse Christmas and Skate Night

All of our guesthouse citizen workers and some of their families, got together and watched the Nativity Story a few days before Christmas.

Fun with classmates for a Christmas Skate night!

Jonathan LOVES skate night. He is the one in the middle with the red hat and red shirt on his ripstick. He switched throughout the night between his rip stick, rollerblades and scooter.

Naomi also had fun at skate night, but didn't skate as much as Jonathan!

Time to get our new to us Christmas tree out that is taller than all of us! The kids were outgrowing the other one!

We haven't decorated for Christmas here in 2 years! Jonathan remembered some of the decorations, so fun! This house is a picture of a house in America with snow.
