The Happenings in April...

We are enjoying our weeks living in one place! We have been speaking at a different church almost every Sunday, as well as getting together with supporters and friends talking about PNG! Meanwhile,  Jonathan learns how to play the guitar. :)

 Nannie has a birthday!!

 So we had a party!!

Found another play place in Nova Scotia... but still a bit cold!

Jonathan still had a great time!

Jonathan is showing us where we are in the Maritimes. :)

Random Nova Scotia life...

Jonathan's great grandma wanted to buy Jonathan a bike!! He was quite excited about that! It seemed like Spring was coming so we thought he could ride outside any day. But... the rain came...

And then a snow storm on April 3-4!! But Jonathan was excited to try out his snow suit that he hadn't had a chance to try yet! But the bike had to stay downstairs in the workshop where Jonathan road around in circles.

Plus Jonathan got to try out Nannie and Poppie's sled!

And he enjoyed making a new chair for himself. :)

Poppie brought back a few Lobsters from his catch to cook for supper. Jonathan wasn't sure what to think about those 'moving things'. :)

Settling into Nova Scotia

We enjoyed a nice Easter celebration with family!

Jonathan hadn't ever seen such a HUGE ham before!

Setting up and organizing our apartment!

Plus exploring all the new play places in Nova Scotia... although a bit cold still!

Last leg of our road trip - Ontario to Nova Scotia!

We really enjoyed our time in Ontario at the NTM headquarters... learned so much and got to hang out with lots of good friends! We had really nice weather, once we arrived there... spring like weather some days. But as usual, as we started driving, it started snowing! Thankfully it didn't last more then a few hours as we drove into Quebec!

Jacob was quite excited to eat Poutine, a famous dish in Quebec, which consists of french fries, a poutine (gravy) sauce, as well as all the fixings... bacon, onions and cheese!

I enjoyed my chicken dish, although I'm not sure what it was called because the menu was in French. :)

Jonathan enjoyed a home made PB and J, a staple that I carry with me.

But he did start a good liking for Poutine as well. :)

And they made him an oreo cookie smiley face dessert plate, which he loved!

We even found a kids play place in Quebec on the river, but it was sooo cold!

In Halifax we discovered, "Hop, Jump and Skip", Jonathan loved shooting the balls everywhere!

Jacob discovered Ebony wood for sale too... you wouldn't believe the price! $14 for 2"x2"x12". But in PNG Jacob uses 2"x 6", 6 foot long for the same price!!

Hanging out in Durham, ON Canada

It was fun to see Janet, a good friend!  Jonathan is getting a bit more practice with Crokinole now that we are in Canada, and he loves it!

Jonathan also has learned a bit more about floor hockey in Canada too.

While we were hanging out with Pete and Lesley at Tim Hortons, Jonathan had fun with the camera. :)

Lesley... Pete and Lesley worked with us at Interface for a few years! Good to see them!

Heading out on a big second hand shopping trip with Julie, Joan and Elissa... this is the back seat crowd. :) So fun to hang out with good friends!

So good to see my good friend, Julie too!

Arrival in Canada!

When we headed up to Canada, it started snowing once again. We arrived just before the worst of the snow. The next day it snowed most of the day. And the second day we woke up to this!

Love the beauty of snow, not so much a fan of the cold though. :)

When we told Jonathan about the storm and all the snow we would have when we woke up the next morning, he said, "I can look out side and see it, and then I can go outside and shovel it!" :) He is not a fan of playing in snow yet. :)

Visiting Family and Friends, Sharing in Church in NY

My cousin, Jenny, with her son Gideon... cousin Seth with his fiance Hannah, Me, My Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Roy.... can't remember when all of us were in the same place together!

Now with the addition of Addie, Jenny's daughter and my grandma!

The cousins eating together for the first time... Jonathan, Gideon, Clara and Addie.

And they really loved playing together too!

Jonathan took a great picture of Grandma's cat. :)

Jacob enjoyed playing the guitar with Uncle Roy.

Dinner out with the family and church

Jacob still has not adjusted to the cold of the north east!

I believe he has three layers of clothes on as well as his winter coat! Note, we are inside a house!

Miss Esther and Jonathan, fun times!

Jonathan liked to pretend he was speaking at church too. :)

We also got to see our former Interface co-worker, Rhonda, and her family, Bernie and daughter Faith. Fun!
