The Train!

Jonathan was very excited to ride his first train in Germany!

Waiting for our next train in the train station, with just a little bit of luggage. :)

Enjoying some German hot chocolate while we wait. :)

Jonathan loved to touch the cold floors and then touch my hands to show me how cold it was... he has never felt so many cold things before!

An outing to Tubingen...

 Jonny and his sister, Lydia

 Jumping off the cannon balls.

We enjoyed looking around the castle.

And the view from the castle.

The largest bird house I have ever seen!

This kids meal of spaetzel was very large! But very yummy!

We had a great time with Jonny and his mom, Margaret, and sister, Lydia, in Tubingen!

Germany!!

Roaming the streets of Germany.

 Enjoying a park

A little bit cold and tired. :)

A very very old house made with wooden nails or pegs. Wow!

Wow, so much fresh fruit! They should start importing it to Wewak! :)

It was still Autumn in Germany when we were there. And Jonathan loved walking through the leaves to hear them rustle. :) We didn't even show him how to do it... it must be something that kids love do to, even when they have never done it before!

 Jonathan loved the German pretzel!

Jacob was excited to visit a German hardware store! Clean, space, very quick service and no waiting in line!

Marco, Jacob, Diemo, me and Jonathan and Jonny. Marco, Diemo and Jonny were all at Interface as Interns in 2011-2012. So fun to see them all together again!

Martin and Margaret (Jonny's parents) as well as his sister, Lydia... a great time together with Diemo, Marco and Jonny!

Heading to Germany...

We were thankful for that the 12 hour flight starts at midnight, Hong Kong time, so Jonathan slept for 8 hours straight!

Then we took a train from Frankfurt down to Stuttgart to meet Jonny!
There was a big party planned that day, our German friends arrived throughout the afternoon and evening to see us! So fun! Although we were a bit tired from jet lag! But still so fun!

And so much yummy food!! Ben, Lydia, Rich, Rill and Jonas enjoying a favorite Germany meal!

Jonathan ate supper and fell asleep on the back of his chair. So I put him on the couch right behind the table and he slept through all the laughing and talking around him! :)

All of the guys that we met were at Interface with us as Interns, so we had fun getting to know them in PNG! Till (left) was there in 2011-2012 and Jan (right) was there from 2009-2010.

Rich was at Interface as an intern in 2007-2008. Chris was also there at the same time and now married! Rich unfortunately couldn't bring his wife or 2 week old baby! Congrats!

Sight seeing in Hong Kong

Enjoying time at a park with animals.

We had to be careful at the outdoor cafe... they had signs saying that you should stay with your food at all times due to wild monkeys jumping down to eat the food. :)

A temple in Hong Kong

Wild cows in Hong Kong... Jacob tried herding cattle so they wouldn't eat our lunch. :)

The Balanced Rock... a tourist sight on our walk about.

Visiting the life size Noah's Ark!

On the right - Jacob's first hardware store outside of PNG!

And Jonathan had never been on an escalator before he went to Hong Kong! This was the biggest one I have ever seen!

Ice Hockey rink on the 10th story of a 20 story mall!

Playing hockey on the roof!
