Wewak life...

The Sunrise - view from our back porch!
We can also see the runway in town from our porch... one of these days we will get a picture of the plane flying over us. :)

 Jonathan loves his jolly jumper!
He loves to sit and watch me cut fruit and veggies and get meals ready. :)

But he doesn't like sitting in his chair when he has a dirty diaper. He tries to flip out of it.... scary!

More view from our back porch.

Many of our Interface co-workers enjoyed hanging out with Jonathan. :) ...Travis and Nikki

Bobbi, did a good job of putting Jonathan to sleep after this... he was sooo tired!

Nate enjoys playing with Jonathan too.

He sleeps in strange positions sometimes. :)

Meta came to help me by rolling out some tortillas for the Interface team. She enjoyed holding Jonathan too!

 Making pancakes with dad.

We try to give Jonathan some pool time every day!

 He loves the water!

Surprise visit from Julie!

Julie, our former Interface co-worker, is working a bit at Lapilo until she leaves on July 3rd. When we decided to fly straight to Wewak because my visa took so long, I was very sad that we would not get to see Julie before she left PNG. But I was wrong! Julie surprised us with a visit for a few days!

We enjoyed going out to lunch with her.

And to the fish market... later we had her over for dinner and cooked up our fish, Red Emperor, yum!

Jonathan didn't know what to think about the fish market....

Hanging out with family...

Hanging out at Nannie and Poppie's cottage on Beaver Dam Lake to celebrate Jacob's birthday... turning 30!! And Nannie's birthday as well!! And it just happened to be the day that Jonathan turned four months old too!

The kids had lots of fun in the pool!

And the adults enjoyed watching them because the water was very cold! :)

 Lots of yummy food!

 Jonathan's second cousin, Evan

Lots of pictures of the babies...

Jonathan's first time in shorts and sitting on grass... hard to tell what he thought about it all...

 A little bit of fishing.

Jacob, in the background, sweating about the fact that he just turned 30!

 Jonathan's second cousin, Quinn.

Such a beautiful warm sunny day at the Lake!

At the beach in Nova Scotia...

Ready to head to the beach...

We think he likes it... although its a little chilly...

Looking out on the ocean to see dory rowing, a famous Nova Scotia past time.

 He seems pretty amazed!

A close up look at the ocean.

He loved it, until a wave splashed and a few drops hit his face. Poor Jonathan!

Visit to the Wharf..

Jacob's dad took us down to the wharf so we could see the boat that he has been fishing on for the last 6 weeks...Lobster season just ended a couple days ago.

All the boats are docked after months of hard work on the water catching thousands of pounds of lobsters.

The boat that Jacob's dad worked on for the last few weeks.

Jonathan was very interested in everything!

Jeremy, the Skipper's son, showed us the computer system on the boat. Looks pretty complicated to me!

But the fishermen have it down to an exact science!

Jonathan sitting in the Captain's chair, even though his shirt just says Mommy's first mate. :)

 The sleeping quarters.

Looking out the front of the boat.
