Central Conference Catering

 

A few pineapples needed for 120 people!

Fiona, Rumbi and Georgie and I prepped the food. One night we had lasagna, corn, salad and garlic bread.

Naomi helped us dish out the food. The other night we made the side dishes: coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and pineapple to go with the roasted pig!

And everyone seems to love it!

Jacob and the kids were a huge help!

They had fun roasting a pig!

Jonathan joined the VBS group for one day and got to sing a few songs!

One morning we went out to help with nursery too... and Naomi enjoyed the playground.

Old Interface Campus registered to Teach Teachers

 

We went to the Old Interface campus because they invited us to the ceremony of the Teachers College - they got registration papers! They can graduate teachers!

It is quite amazing to see the newly built water ducts on the side of the road... 

There was a sign announcing the ceremony and the Member of Parliament's arrival.

VIPS! Unfortunately, we were not VIPS. :)

This is the Interface property where we met 20 years ago!

I cooked in this kitchen for 12 years! It was like walking into a twilight zone going back. But at the same time we are thankful that the property is being used by a Teachers College.

They recognized NTM as many speakers thanked NTM for preparing the ground... building houses setting up the water system, etc. so they gave us bilums along with the member of parliament to recognize us.

Guesthouse Ministry

 

It's hard to believe... Naomi was 2 when Jacob broke his leg and we had to move here from Wewak for two months to live in the guesthouse apartment so he could see the physical therapist and strengthen his leg. And now here we are running the guesthouse! Time flies! And I am thankful that now Jacob can run in races and play roller hockey and be a part of Tang Soo Do!

When we needed to make lasagna for 120 people... there was no cheese in the store or in town! When we found it a week later, just in time for conference, we were excited!!

Ready to go! Thankful for this large fridge!
