School Activities and Sports Fun

School Spirit day - blue and white dress up day - exciting times!

School Pet day for Naomi's 1st grade class

Crazy Country day for Naomi's class

We started watching NFL Game pass every Sunday afternoon.... but we have been greatly saddened by the Patriots games... not many wins yet.

Naomi has "box" seats for the game. :)

Pattern dress up day at school

Drama class is one of our kids favorite classes this year!

Hockey time! Every Sunday evening there is roller hockey and for some weeks there wasn't an official game so Naomi and Jonathan got to learn more roller hockey skills.... here they are off to play.

Naomi enjoys Technology class and is learning how to type too!

Campfires, Muna Beatles and Independence Day

Usually every September rainy season begins and the Muna beetles come out of the ground. There are thousands of them. The people here catch them and fry them up to eat for dinner. So we try it again every year. This was Jonathan's first time trying one! Not bad he says!

The legs and heads need to come off first before you cook them.

We have been enjoying a campfire each Saturday. And some of us heat our waffles on the campfire. And Jacob always cooks sausage for us to enjoy too.

Happy 48th year of Independence to PNG! I enjoy working with Georgie, Rumbi and Fiona each day!

Guesthouse Ministry

This is Kiso, our driver - He takes people to the airport and picks them up when they arrive. He also does the centre mail run each week and he takes ladies on shopping trips into town. He is a very busy guy and we are very thankful for him!

Teaching Georgie how to drive the golf cart... now she is doing a great job on her own driving around the centre.

The ladies use the golf cart to pick up dirty linens from guest houses, deliver clean linens, take out the trash and go the our NTM store for grocery/shopping.

Fiona, Georgie and Rumbi enjoying making fun designs with the towels for our guests.

A new bed was donated to our guesthouse for those with back issues... a sleep by number bed.

Working on the gutter around the guesthouse. I'm thankful it is no longer raining on the porch. Thank you Jacob for your work!

Our golf cart lost its roof, but we hope to install a solar panel as a roof next year so that we can run on batteries charged by the sun. There is a lot of sun here!

Moving the Nursery

I helped move the nursery from a house to these two rooms off the Conference Dining Hall...

This is before...

Jacob found some old paint, mixed it all together and came up with this red color. He cut the door in half and made a little shelf and asked the kids to come help paint it. :)

Naomi's friends Naomi and Lily had a good time trying out the nursery set up. Their mom Brynn and I brainstormed to figure out how to best set it up with the things we had available. It was fun!

We are thankful that we can help out by taking care of the missionaries little ones during church so they can enjoy worshiping with others.
