Playing Tourist

We enjoyed being able to tour around in the small towns close to where we lived in Nova Scotia.

A memorial for those who have died at sea.

On March 22, 1989, Jacob's dad didn't make it to this boat before it took off for a fishing expedition. There was a big storm that killed all aboard. We are very thankful that God spared Stanley's life.

It is fun to find hidden painted rocks and let everyone know that it was found... then re-hide it!

Exploring the lighthouse with Nannie and Poppie, fun times with family!

Jacob's dad, an experienced captain, explains what happened in this historical event.

Trying to feed the ducks but they were full so the seagulls got the food instead.

Visiting Friends and churches in Nova Scotia

When we go to visit friends or when friends come to visit us, there is always food involved. Here I have a snack ready for Jacob and a mentor friend... homemade granola bars, yum!

We were completely out of eggs and we were going to stop on the way home to buy more, but our friends gave us a lot of fresh eggs that same day when we stopped in to visit.

Friends that the kids go to school with in Nova Scotia.

And they had a few animals to take care of!

Playing at the church nursery before we spoke about Papua New Guinea.

We were so thankful that Covid restrictions lifted so that we could share about PNG at this church on the Island! God always provides the people we need in our lives at just the right times!😊 It was a great time connecting with Pastor Shaun and his church!

Enjoying our Last Weeks in Nova Scotia

We have discovered where Naomi got her curly hair from... her Great Nannie Jane! We walked in to her house and Nannie Jane saw her for the 1st time and said... that is what I looked like at her age! 😊

Nannie Jane LOVES to teach her great grand children how to play checkers!

Enjoying their last weeks with pool in our backyard! They will miss the pool!

Kim, a friend and supporter, visited us before we left... we were thankful that the borders opened up and she could come from New Brunswick!

Enjoying some hot summer days in Nova Scotia!

More costumes at the second hand store, always fun!

Making my own hot dog buns for our family BBQ... yum!

We really enjoyed having Jacob's family over after the Covid restrictions lessened. So good to see everyone!

Happy Independence Day!

We spoke at Temple Baptist Church on July 4th! It was a very encouraging time! But definitely a different way to celebrate America's Independence day! 😊 We also got two pictures drawn of us while we were there. 😊

The kids enjoy playing their PNG instruments for worship!

Happy Canada Day!

Naomi and I enjoyed picking fresh lettuce and chives to make a salad for our Canada Day celebration!

We enjoyed having a fun day with cousins and Aunt, Uncle, Nannie and Poppie.

And a little video games at the end of the day.
