Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

 We were amazed at how the koalas live... hanging out in a tree and sleeping mostly. Then they would wake up and eat a few leaves and sleep some more.

 Naomi laughed when she watched the koalas eat leaves

 They also had a place where we could walk around with the emus and kangaroos. You can even pet them!

 An an amazing bird show too...

Enjoying a Brisbane River Boat Tour

 Naomi and Jonathan were amazed!

 The green building that you see in this photo is the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital where we take Naomi for all our appointments. 

In PNG, the back of Naomi's head is full of little curls because of the humidity... in Brisbane it because almost straight with a little wave in it! Crazy!

 They even let Superman drive the boat! :)

Dinner and a Walk with Friends

 We always enjoy going out to eat when we are in Australia! Yum! Eggs Benedict!

 Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich with yogurt and fruit for the kids

 Caesar salad with chicken for me, yum!

 We took a walk with our friends and found a face painter which Jonathan was quite interested in...

 He LOVED his Spiderman face and wanted to keep it forever! He was so sad when it was smudged!

 Naomi didn't know what to think of Jonathan's new face...

Jacob was amazed at the line of cars we passed when walking

 We were excited to see my old friend from my work at the Apple Tree Inn in MA! She married a man from Australia and they are living in Brisbane now!

Happy 35th Birthday to Jacob!

 We enjoyed celebrating Jacob's birthday with some yummy ice cream!

 Naomi loved it too!

 But when we told her the ice cream was all gone, she was quite upset.
