Christmas Party!

Ready to go to the Christmas party!

Bringing his present to the Christmas party, not sure why he has to give it away. :)

Lots of yummy food!

Now he is happy because he realized that someone gave him a present too. :)

He loved his Mickey Mouse coloring book and crayons!

Jonathan wasn't very excited about dressing as an angel without mom.

But he enjoyed it and was so cute!

Loving Dad!

Jonathan loves to put on Dad's hat and talk about how he wants to go to work with Dad. :)

Relaxing and reading with Dad.

"Watching" TV together :)

Boat house project

The guys are almost done pouring the cement for the new boat house. So far it looks good! Very impressive for concrete poured without the cement trucks that we use back home!

The containers will be moved back and then the roof can go up!

As we walked over to the site of the new boat house, we saw a few kids trying to pick mangoes from the tree. Looks like quite the endeavor! :)

Christmas Shopping!

My good friend Erika, who works with Samaritan Aviation, let us borrow her car while she was home in the US for four weeks. So nice to have the use of this nice car! So we did a little Christmas shopping...

Jonathan takes everything in and loves shopping!

Fresh fish! Red Emperor and "Butbut"... not sure what the English name is for that...  :)

We love fresh fish baked and breaded with Nova Scotian tartar sauce. :) Jonathan likes it to!

Practicing the art of filleting a fish. :)

Christmas Party!

Every year we have a Christmas party for all of our workers and their families. This year everyone seemed to love it... cake, ice cream, games and a water slide! :)
Speeches are a part of every PNG gathering... so Greg is telling them what NTM does here in PNG and how they are a part of it.

 Playing games with the kids.

Time for cake and ice cream!

 Anticipating the water slide action.

Jonathan loved it and kept saying "more", "more", "more".

Food!

Every so often we find a watermelon in the market. Usually they are so good! Sometimes they are red inside and sometimes they are orange, either way Jonathan enjoys eating them and playing with them. :)

Making ice tea for dad. Jonathan loves to stir everything!

We discovered a new fruit called a Sour Sop. It looks strange on the outside...

and on the inside. But it is so yummy in yogurt, fruit salad and granola!

Not very appetizing, after you remove it from the skin either, but it has a nice tart taste with a bit of sweetness. :)

Jonathan and I eating our snack in the morning... an over easy egg.

Jonathan had to find a pillow to put his plate on just like mom. :)
Eating snack while watching Mickey Mouse, after his afternoon nap. He is also wearing his first 24 month shirt!!

Fun times!

Finger Painting... I didn't know that finer painting would be so fun for Jonathan... and I didn't know that homemade finger paint was so wet and messy! But thankful that it is easy to clean up and thankful that Jonathan had such a great time!

Jonathan loves to get inside anything that he can fit in. :)
Playing with Anastan, Nora and Uriah, our neighbors for a few months. Now they have moved to a different centre so that their dads can start building their homes in the bush. Next month they will move into their bush homes and start building relationships with the people!

Uriah and Jonathan enjoyed playing together.

Good Friends!

Erika, our neighbor, and I have become very good friends! She works with Samaritan Aviation but rents an apartment from NTM. We get together every other week for a time to chat and pray. So wonderful and refreshing to get to know Erika and be able to share with each other and learn from each other! She headed to the US for a month for Christmas break and she is missed!
