School Starts, Soccer team and Cross Country

 

We had a little tour of the Oceanview Christian Academy before school started. The kids were excited to start.

But it took a few weeks for them to adjust to life without their PNG teachers and friends at school.

 

First Day of 8th grade for Jonathan and 4th grade for Naomi. 

 

 

 

Jonathan got the chance to join the Cross Country team and run in a meet, it was a regional race with other kids from schools in the areas around us.

 

 

Naomi and I got the chance to watch Jonathan's soccer team play.

Some days games were quite cold for us PNG people.

Thankfully Jonathan got used to the cold and enjoyed running around!

After a game we stopped near the ocean to eat our lunch. It was too cold to eat outside on the picnic table. But the birds entertained us! They were not shy!

And Jacob and I had the opportunity to share about our ministry in PNG in two Oceanview Christian Academy Chapels.

And Jonathan played the flute in chapel too.
