Sarah rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior

My mom let us know that Sarah went into the hospital for chest pain on May 7th. On May 10th she was diagnosed with lung cancer. And today she went to be with her Savior. We are still in shock. But we know that God's will is sovereign and he numbers each of our days here on earth. We know he has a purpose in this. And we are thankful that Sarah is rejoicing in heaven with a perfect mind and body with Jesus. I will fly home in a few days to be with my parents and sister, Ruth. Here are a few of our most recent memories together....

Family Photo. It was a great time. And we are so thankful that we went home in Summer 2023!

Painting with Aunt Sarah

Attending church with Aunt Sarah. Some great memories!

The last picture of the three sisters together on this earth. We look forward to when they are together again in heaven.

Before we left in March 2022, we had an early birthday celebration with Sarah. Fun times!

Christmas in 2020.. so thankful for this time together.

Together again in 2021 before returning to PNG.

NCA - School year coming to a close

Jonathan's 4th and 5th grade class learned about all the countries that the students live in: America, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Germany. Today, Jacob is helping them to learn about Nova Scotia.

They even played a game and learned how to be a captain.

Performing some "Zingers" in Drama class.... 4th - 6th graders... Jonathan's class

Naomi's 1st-3rd grade class - Drama

Art class art show, Jonathan drew/colored the two on the left. So thankful for Art and Drama this year!

Naomi drew and colored these two.

Jacob's Many Ministries...

After Jacob trained a security dog for our Port Morseby centre, he took it to the centre via our Aviation department in a Kodiak. There are no roads from where we live to the capital city of PNG.

Koa wasn't too sure about this trip.

But he made it there.

And he even got to go to a vet.

Jacob and Nate enjoyed working together for a few days! Things may have gotten a little out of hand. That's what happens when Beth isn't around to make sure things go well.

Then Jacob came back and worked on switching the golf cart over to solar battery charge... make a roof out of a solar panel. He was thankful to have Victor, a trained metal fabricator and friend, to help him.

And the latest project was repairing a lift with another friend and neighbor, Travis. Travis got the lift working and Jacob used it to repair a large piece of sound board on the ceiling in the gym, as it was falling off.

Travis is also an experienced climber so he made sure Jacob was safe. Travis made the lift usable, but it still needs some major repairs before it is safe to use.

Playing Hard - Broken Arm

Naomi fell when tumbling around and laughing. Her wrist twisted in the wrong direction, lots of pain and crying followed by a trip to the clinic. We are thankful for the staff at our clinic!

Now she can color coordinate her clothes with her cast!

2 weeks later - the xray showed healing was taking place, and then another cast went on

Is it purple or blue? Then the cast came off and a brace went on. Tomorrow she will be free!

Posters for Sarah's hospital room

When we found out that my sister, Sarah, was diagnosed with lung cancer, we got busy making some posters and coloring some artwork to encourage her by hanging them in her room.
