NTM PNG has existed for 75 years in PNG!

Getting ready for our 75th Anniversary Celebration... tables for each area NTM PNG works in....

Nate surprised us with a visit  - coming for the 75th Anniversary celebration!!

The table showing guesthouse and tribal supply ministries.

Serving lunch to those who came a long way to the celebration.

I didn't make the cake but I served the cake.

Kiso, our guesthouse driver, enjoying the celebration.

Robyn and Shara, part of the celebration organizational team.

Jany, the lady who helps out at the POM centre, came to visit too. She had never been to our centre before and seen what NTM does, so she wanted to come for the celebration!

New Joinery Training

Jacob has been asked to step into the Centre Workshop, in the Joinery each morning in order to train the three carpenters. First he had to go buy the basic tools so that each of them could have their own tool box. This is something that has been on Jacob's heart to help with for a long time, so he is quite excited to work with these guys! And they are happy to learn!

Learning to make safe consistent cuts on the table saw.

Review the days work with his assistants.

Almost finished for the day!

Making sure the joinery is ready for the next day.

Excy and Beldin learning to make and install awnings over windows to keep the tropical rains out.

    They did a great job!

Now onto doors. Simple but sturdy! Beldin, Excy and Ganino are learning fast.

They have even started working on floors. The guys have a great ability to learn and absorb new skills and apply them quickly.

Learning to pay attention to details is something that can be very difficult to learn. The guys are really working hard to make a great product. Taping off the floor before applying paint to the baseboard really puts a great touch on the look of the floor and the craftsmanship the guys are displaying.

If anyone would like to come train or manage maintenance projects we have a great need! Please come join us!

In the afternoons he tries to work on the guesthouse and the projects he have going around there, or just fixing something that has just broken.

Jacob is also am learning a lot from other Tech guys. Generators are not in his comfort zone but he always enjoy learning from experts. He checks the oil and monitors it on the rotation with the other guys.

Child Care, School Days and School Break

Jacob put a new counter top in my kitchen and then life got crazy... this was the last time my counter looked like this for many weeks! :)

We have a lot of new support missionaries here! Yeah!! And they are in orientation, yeah!! So we watched the kids so they could focus on adjusting to life in PNG! Fun times, cute kids!

They loved watching the cows on the other side of the fence.

We are thankful that the kids have Technology this semester in school... they enjoy practicing their typing class. They also have music and art this semester!

Color day, each class dressed in a different color.

Jonathan's 6th grade class with their Teacher for color day... black for 6th grade.

Flowers from Naomi. :)

Settlers time!

Jonathan got new rollerblades for his birthday, a little bit late. He was excited!!

And my roller blades were found as well, as another missionary had borrowed them. I went skating and had a lot of fun and I didn't break a bone!

Family skate night!

Whoa! That is crazy!!

And more Settlers!

Jonathan is actually fearless, not ear-less, well that is what his socks say anyway. :)

Daddy daughter puzzle time!

First pancake batch on his own... just a few questions... next time he'll do it all by himself!
